these are random quotes from the book called tuesdays with morrie by mitch albom.
- being afraid of aging only reflects unsatisfied lives. unfulfilled lives. lives that haven't found meaning. because if you've found meaning in your life, you don't want to go back. you want to go forward. you want to see more. you can't wait until 65.
- there is no such thing as too late in life.
- death ends a life, not a relationship.
- don't let go too soon, but don't hang on too long.
- learn to live to learn how to die.
- money is not a substitute for tenderness, and power is not a substitute for tenderness.
- if you are trying to show off for people at the top, forget it. they will look down at you anyhow. and if you're trying to show off for people at the bottom, forget it. they will only envy you. status will get you nowhere.
- ...they don't know what they want in a partner. they don't know who they are themselves - so how can they know who they're marrying? (this line was told by morrie to his student when asked about marriage. this is obviously about a failed marriage.
these lines prove that in this world no one's complacent enough in accepting what he/she already has. each of us want to acquire more - to tower over everyone else. but in the end, we stumble because we haven't noticed what is before us. we always strive to be the best not knowing that to be better than who we already are is more than enough. to struggle over what we badly want is not evil but to over struggle is not any better. let's simply live life as simple as we can for us to truly see the real beauty of this world.

A warm and bright Mr. Sun smiles back at me this afternoon.
I thought it was.
Suddenly a gloomy mood appeared striking me from behind.
I thought it was just nothing that it will pass away. But, it continued to hit me again and again.
I was really unlucky, oh not unlucky but a bit of vulnerable because none of my sentiments were heard though it were aired.
It sickened me really for I thought they are the fortress of this society. They will unite everyone – including those whom they labeled as “homosexuals”.
“Homosexuals have no right to neither live nor be a godparent because they will only ruin life. They will devastate and stop the reproduction of life.”
But I say, what’s with ones sexuality if one cannot provide and prove his/her reason/s of living and existing in this so beautiful world? And what really does the commandment “love your neighbor as you love yourself” implies if there’s an exception? God may have made two people – a man and a woman but homosexuality is not a mere sexuality. It is more of an emotion – a need which has long been felt yet hidden because of fear and confusion. It’s a way of expressing yourself and nothing’s wrong with it as long as that person knows his/her boundaries and is responsible enough.
Homosexuals have the right to live because no matter what you say they are still God’s creatures.
P.S. there’s no better way to express love than through acceptance. Just accept the fact that THEY exist!
